Galatians 6:9-10 = "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
I don't know about you, but I'm a very weary Mom these days. The hustle and bustle of the holidays - buying presents, parties, lots of traffic, baking, etc PLUS the normal everyday stuff - home schooling, finding a church, being mom and wife and daughter and friend, work…… It's a never ending to-do list, isn't it?!
No, I'm not going to talk about "taming your to-do list" - that was the last study. :) What God laid on my heart to share with you today is bigger than that. All of those things are good - blessing family and friends, kids, husband, work, church. Keep on doing them! As the verse says - don't get weary in doing good. Basically, don't give up! The harvest is coming. The time and energy you're putting into these good things will reap benefits - someday!
My challenge to you, this holiday season is to not think of each thing on your to-do list as another chore, as drudgery. Think of each thing as planting a seed of blessing into someone's life. God will reward those efforts and will use us to bring happiness and joy!
